Mad Cow Disease Symptoms

mad-cow-disease.jpg (600×400)An abnormal infectious protein present in the brain named prions in the infected animal results in mad cow disease. In the initial stage, no symptoms of mad cow disease can be seen. The cattle can show the symptoms in the later stage. The symptoms of mad cow disease first starts in the brain where the brain tissue examination shows that the infected tissues have become spongy in nature.
Unlike the bacteria and the viruses, these prions do not create any kind of infection; however, they create so many disabilities in the body they locate. They prions are there in the tissues of the nervous system; this includes the brain, neurons etc.Once the infection has set in, the mad cow disease symptoms start to occur in the infected animal. The symptoms of mad cow disease include fatigue, weakness and many other illnesses. The cow or the person, who is affected with the symptoms of mad cow disease, will have a sudden weight loss and disability in walking and even standing. The cow will have a lower level of milk production in spite of having a good appetite.  The other symptoms of mad cow disease include the sudden onset of aggression in the animal, where there are cases of abnormal behaviour and actions caused by the animal due to mad cow disease.
Since the disease has a case of spreading in humans through the consumption of tissues i.e. meat from the infected animal, there have been cases where the mad cow disease symptoms have also occurred in humans. Though the disease is not contagious, it has a condition of spreading from one human to another through the transfer of tissue or through the transfer of blood from one person to another. In the case of humans, the symptoms indicate an increased psychiatric condition due to the nature of the disease that eats through the brain causing holes in the brain. Some main symptoms include a persistent condition, which causes a loss of memory. http://www.biblehealth.com/mad-cow-disease/mad-cow-disease-symptoms.html
