Cervical Cancer Symptoms

  • Abnormal bleeding: Bleeding is one of the common symptoms of cervical cancer. Women with cancer in the cervix normally are victims of bleeding which is abnormal. The bleeding can be light or heavy during the month. It varies from person to person.
  • Unusual heavy dischargeCervical cancer symptoms usually manifest with a discharge which is abnormal. Vaginal discharge is common in women but if it is related to symptoms of cervical cancer, then it is found to smell foul. The discharge is watery, thick and contains a lot of mucus. Normally the discharge varies from woman to woman. The crux of the matter is to inform the doctor the moment any discharge is seen.
  • Pelvic Pain: Any kind of pain in the pelvic area is normally not always related to the menstrual cycle of the woman. It could also be symptoms of cervical cancer. The pain that is felt by the woman is normally dull and sometimes even sharp. The pain is seen to last for hours together. The pain can be a mild pain or a severe pain.
  • Pain during urination: Pain in the bladder or pain in urinating is normally common for any kind of disorder. But it is imperative to get it checked by the doctor. This could be a case of advanced symptoms of cervical cancer. This kind of pain in urination normally happens when the cervical cancer has spread to the bladder. Thus the pain in the urination goes unnoticed sometimes.
  • Bleeding: Any kind of bleeding during the menstrual periods, or after having sexual intercourse, while douching or during a pelvic examination is to be looked into. This kind of bleeding happens when the cervix gets irritated and this actually happens during the activities. A cervix which is healthy does not show any amount of bleeding but there are still many conditions that could lead to bleeding after activities like sex. It has to be remembered that these symptoms of cervical cancer differ from woman to woman and there is no one woman who would experience the same kind of symptoms. http://www.biblehealth.com/cervical-cancer/cervical-cancer-symptoms.html
