The physical and emotional problem will start with self-starvation, diet, fast, purge and over-exercise. The motive of the person would be to look slim and attractive by reducing the weight. They stop eating for weight reduction. 
People eat low calorie food, avoid fats and carbohydrates.
Anorexia nervosa is differentiated into two types. The first one is restricting type wherein weight loss is done by restricting calories through fasts, exercises and dieting. The second one is purging type wherein calories reduced by vomiting or using laxatives and diuretics.
Symptoms of anorexia nervosa are the feeling that you are overweight, craze to maintain normal body weight, fear of gaining weight, distorted view of their body, and denial of the dangers of maintaining very low weight. Anorexia nervosa symptoms are are seen in more people of age 13 and 20 but this disorder is seen across all ages.
Symptoms of anorexia nervosa differ with dieting. Dieting is the initial stage and will lead to shedding a few pounds and then gradual increase in weight loss. The person with this attitude leads to Anorexia nervosa.
Anorexia nervosa symptoms continue in the family with siblings too. Here, it is 10 to 20 times more likely to develop and it will be seen more in newer generations. People with anorexia have high levels of cortisol, which is the brain hormone, mostly related to stress and low levels of serotonin and norepinephrine.
Anorexia nervosa symptoms will have direct physical effects and will result in low menstrual cycle, lack of energy and weakness, feeling cold, dry and yellowish skin, constipation, abdominal pain, restlessness, dizziness, fainting, headaches, heart problems, infertility, kidney failure, insomnia and growth of hair all over the body and face.
Once the symptoms of anorexia nervosa are confirmed, consult a doctor. It can improve the patients’ health by putting an end to the weight loss. Doctors generally make a complete assessment of the patient before initiating the treatment for anorexia nervosa, as this disorder affects the physical aspects of the body.
