Heat Stroke Prevention

Heat stroke is mainly associated with the neurological and physical disorders in the human body. Heat stroke is a severe condition and it is different from heat cramps or
heat exhaustion that you might have seen. If you see symptoms of heat stroke in anyone make sure he is taken to a doctor immediately for the medical attention. The patient should also be treated properly as it might get fatal. Heat stroke is the result of lack of dissipation of heat from the human body either in the form of sweat evaporation or heat radiation. But when there is an extreme hot atmosphere and when the body is exposed to it directly, the heat may not be properly dissipated from the body, leading to rise in the temperature for more than 41 degree Celsius. Dehydration may also cause heat stroke.
The symptoms of heat stroke are most seen in infants, old people, athletes and those who work in the sun most of the times like construction workers. The heat stroke symptoms are sometimes similar to heart attack symptoms. The symptoms of heat stroke can be either experienced slowly or suddenly without any signs. They may differ according to the people and their body condition. But the most common ones include absence of sweating resulting dry skin, high body temperature, breathing difficulty, rapid pulse, strange behavior, disorientation, confusion, hallucinations, agitation, and seizure. In extreme cases, this might lead to coma.
Like any other disease heat stroke also has different stages and the symptoms vary with the stages. At an initial stage, the person will experience muscle cramps, fatigue, headache and dehydration. After that, the heat is exhausted and this condition is characterized with loss of more minerals and water through excess sweat. http://www.biblehealth.com/heatstroke/heat-stroke-symptoms-stages-of-heat-stroke.html
