Back Pain Symptoms

Most cases of signs of back pain, especially when it is acute, stays for only a few days. But if it continues for more than three months, then it is considered as chronic. Only in some cases, this pain spreads down to the leg. Sometimes when the pain is caused from injury to the muscles or ligaments, the back pain symptoms would increase especially while you bend. As the lower part of the back is mostly affected by the pressure you put on it during physical activities, it is common to find people suffering from lower back pain, which is again nothing more than signs of back pain

There are a lot of factors contributing to symptoms of back pain. First and foremost is your posture. You put a lot of pressure on your back muscles when you sit on chairs and not enough support is given to the spine. And this turns out to be one of the most common reasons for acute back pain. Another factor for back pain is lifting heavy objects and also bending to lift heavy objects.

Similarly, don't ignore the pain experienced while you sit or stand in a certain position for long. Numbness or weakness experienced in the legs, shooting pain going down the legs, the pain experienced while coughing or sneezing and feeling totally immobile are also sure signs of back pain. But in the cases of women the back pain conditions can be unique. It can be even related to their personal situations in life. The causes can be a combination of physical, psychological and social factors. Sometimes it can also be as a result of breast cancer or a side effect of its treatment.
