ha_wiki.jpg (300×382)
A chronic condition that causes much pain, tenderness and stiffness of the muscles, tendons, and joints is known as fibromyalgia. It is also known as fibromyalgia syndrome. In the past people knew it asfibrositis. It is  a very common disease to affect the muscles. This is an arthritis related illness and a very common one at that.
The common characteristic of the disease is anxiety, disturbed sleep, depression, chronic fatigue, getting up tired after a night sleep, disturbance in the bowel movement. That is why it is also one of the most wrongly diagnosed illnesses. It has been seen that it affects the female population much more than the male. What causes fibromyalgia is still a mystery. The cause of fibromyalgia is currently unknown but several hypotheses have been developed. There are many researches going on to find out what causes fibromyalgia.
It has been seen that those affected by the illness often have pain in response to stimuli that are usually perceived as painful. Many experts believe the situation is brought on by complex, uncharacteristic responses to stress and could be related to a genetic disposition. Experts have grouped fibromyalgia into two categories- the primary and the secondary. the primary condition is also known as "idopathic" and  what causes fibromyalgia in this stage is not known. But many experts believe chronic sleep disturbance, deformity in brain chemicals and hormones, muscle abnormalities and psychological and social effects, are the suspected cause of fibromyalgia in the primary stage.http://www.biblehealth.com/fibromyalgia/the-various-causes-of-fibromyalgia.html
